Brett Mayes is the owner operator of Galveston Island Pest and has almost 30 yrs in the business.
Brett started in the 80s right out of the Army applying chemicals with a International Interior scape firm. From there he took his experience to the largest independant pest control company at the time, Dallas Pest and Termite Services. After stints as service supervisor, and in Residential and Commercial sales he left to start North Texas Pest and Termite. Within one year he had become to be the go to guy for Brinker International and a large portion of their restaurants, servicing over 10 counties.
But going back and forth to Galveston fishing every weekend for 10 yrs finally took its toll. He sold North Texas Pest and Termite and moved his second , business Gulf States Bird Control to Galveston. He started doing pest control for neighbors and friends and was told by many that Galveston residents would enjoy the quality service that he provided. So he wasted no time. Brett and his daughter Brittany started Galveston Island Pest Control in 2013, and are already looking at adding a second and 3rd truck.
